Fundations documentation

Fundations is a peer-to-peer crowdfunding plugin for WordPress. Supporters create their own fundraising pages under a cause or campaign, and the site owner collects donations through a payment gateway. It ships in two parts: Fundations (FREE), published on WordPress.org, and Fundations Pro, a self-hosted commercial add-on licensed through Appsero.

Current versions: FREE 2.12.1 / Pro 1.10.3.

Fundations is block-editor only. It needs a block theme (Full Site Editing). There are no classic PHP templates.

Recent highlights

  • Categories group fundraising pages by cause, nest to any depth, and are admin-managed and selectable in the wizard and edit form.
  • The Meta Field block displays any post, organisation, or user meta value, as text, number, date, link, or image, anywhere including inside a Fundations grid.
  • Pro adds public Organisation pages, and the Filter Bar now works on the fundations, events, and organisations archives and can filter by category.
  • Events are a full post type, not a taxonomy, with their own page, owner, and combined totals.
  • The Emails system moved to a dedicated screen with tag-based templates, plus per-form notifications and confirmations.
  • A Demo data generator builds and removes a full sample P2P system.
  • Pro adds Invite and manage members and PDF donation receipts.
